2006-07 Shorter College Softball
|
The Shorter College Softball Team is hosting an 8-team fall tournament at Alto Park on October 13. The tournament is called the "Border Battle for Breast Cancer" and will be used as a Breast Cancer Awareness Day. All funds raised will be donated to a local chapter to help find a cure. We have planned several activities to raise money at the tournament including taking up donations at the gate, having a raffle, selling tournament t-shirts, and having a team pledge, and also taking up donations at the October 6 Shorter Football game (the 2007 Lady Hawks Softball Team will be recognized and presented our SSAC Championship rings at halftime). Shorter College will be playing in a pink t-shirt during the tournament and all other teams, coaches, and umpires are required to wear pink wristbands throughout the day while playing.
